Kevin Pham - About Me

Hello! My name is Kevin Pham and I'm from San Diego, California.

Sculpting light and positioning the camera to capture the orchestration between ambience and talent is my passion. Developing and tailoring a visual style to tell a story, then maintaining that over an entire piece - that's the mark of a good cinematographer.

What I love about cinematography is that it is balanced between technique and artistry; right & left cranial hemispheres.

I started off editing in 2006, working on sets in Grip & Electric, and graduated in 2011 from CSUN with a BA in Cinematography. I still work occasionally in G&E, and love it!

From 2011 - 2017, I shot 4x features as Director of Photography, two in Los Angeles and two in Saigon, Vietnam.

Since 2018, I've directed/directed photography/edited music videos in Vienna, Austria.

Since 2021, I've started producing while DPing simultaneously, which has been a great challenge but also thrilling. Using my experience from solo shooting music videos, I've been able to successfully transition into producing client work.

Since 2022, I run two fully insured production companies in my name, one in the United States and one in the EU. I'm able to accommodate clients globally.
